Rawson's Retreat

The Rawson’s Retreat range of wines was affectionately named after our founder’s family cottage which he built in 1845, one year after he planted his first vineyard on the property.

Wine Tasting Notes

Bright red with darker edges at the rim. Lifted cherry and bramble berries are well supported with integrated spicy, cedary oak. Medium bodied style with fine, rounded tannins.

Vibrant dark cherry and deeper plum notes are evident from the larger Shiraz component, while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides varietal leaf and a lengthy backbone to the wine.

Gentle French and American oak character sits in the background, allowing the fresh fruit flavors to take centre stage.
